RENEWABLE ENERGY Career Paths
Despite low oil prices and continuing layoffs for Alaska’s oil and gas employees, one industry seems to be growing namely, RENEWABLE ENERGY.
Cari-Ann Carty with APICC (Alaska Process Industry Career Consortium) along with Suzanne Gibson, Senior Director at CIRI Energy Development were recently interviewed on KTVA’s WORKFORCE WEDNESDAY.
The renewable energy industry is creating many jobs for MECHANICAL ENGINEERS, CONSTRUCTION WORKERS, LAWYERS, ACCOUNTANTS and FINANCE Personnel, etc.
Suzanne entered this industry without any knowledge of wind energy. The driving force that propelled her was a strong desire to learn along with the fact that it was an industry that lacked women.
